Prayers for Las Vegas

The shooting in Las Vegas that occurred during a country music festival has left our nation speechless. No words can describe how devastating and heartbreaking this cowardly act truly is. The Artists are in shock and showing their fans support and love for this tragedy. Instagram and Twitter are blowing up with constant prayer requests and condolences sent by most country music artists out to those injured and the families that have lost their loved ones. Personally, I feel so angry because this was such a selfish and brutal attack and we may truly never get the question of “why” answered. As if it even matters… 58 confirmed deaths, most likely more by the end of the day. Over 400 people injured. The videos are horrific and gut wrenching to watch. Let us be thankful for the paramedics, the first responders, the firefighters, the police men, and the bystanders that helped those who needed it last night. May God watch over our nation as we mourn for the losses of what is now the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Let us be greatful for anyone we may know who made it through last night, and let us be helpful to those who have lost anyone. Continue in constant prayer today. That is the most helpful thing we can give at this time.

Hope.

• Hope is sometimes the easiest to lose a hold of. We get lost in our distractions of our world and get so wound up, then wonder why we are unhappy. This unhappiness and discouragement eats away at our hope. Hope for love, hope for health, hope for a life well lived and long. So easily we forget (myself first and foremost) that we are IN this world, not OF this world.

• Anything in your life that takes control of you, leaves no room for God to guide you. Your battle is between you and God. Do not forfeit your fight.  Have Hope in all walks of this life. Put your Faith, Hope, and Love into all things you do. And always know, your testimony isn’t how you see yourself, its how others see you.

{ 1 Thes. 5:8 – But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting Faith and Love as oir breastplate, and hope of salvation as a helmet..}

{ Hebrews 6:19 – This Hope we have is the anchor of the soul…}
